Great Cobar Heritage Centre is located in the heart of Cobar, a mining town in the interior of New South Wales.
At the same location, Great Cobar Heritage Centre and the Cobar visitor information center, (Cobar Visitor Information Centre), are accessible after purchasing tickets from the visitor information center. This is a museum showing the local history of Cobar. Since Cobar is a town with mining as its main industry, the main collections of the museum are all related to mining, such as mining tools, historical materials, photographs, etc. In addition, there are also some historical collections related to the local farming and wool industry.
