Introduction of Kings Canyon

The Kings Canyon (Kings Canyon) is located in the Vataka National Park (Watarrka National Park), in the hinterland of the North Territory, on the west side of George Gill range, about 320 km from Ururu (Uluru), known as the "Red Heart of Australia ", about 475 km from Alice Springs (Alice Springs) and about 1950 km from the capital of the North Territory.

Kings Canyon is a grand canyon with a drop of nearly 100 meters and a stretch of 1 kilometer, with a stream called the imperial stream (Kings Creek) at the bottom. Kings Canyon is not only the most spectacular canyon of Australian scenery, but also one of the most spectacular views of the inland red earth center of Australia. Kings Canyon with hiking trails, dense forests and permanent pools, the steep red rock walls of canyons rise from the dense forests of palm, fern and eucalyptus, guarding the jungle from the desert, providing a warm haven for local animals. For tens of thousands of years, it has been the home of the native Luriga (Luritja).


Kings Canyon have three walking routes:

  • The six-kilometer loop takes about 3-4 hours and takes a week around the canyon. It will climb the highest platform on the way to enjoy the panoramic view of the canyon.
  • A 1.5-kilometer hike at the bottom of the canyon, which takes about 1-1.5 hours, will descend to Eden (the Garden of Eden) at the bottom of the canyon, an oasis surrounded by lush plants;
  • Full 22 km of professional hiking, need to spend the night in the park, feel the most primitive life, only recommended to outdoor travel experienced people, need to be conducted with professional guidance.
