Introduction

Streaky Bay is a small town on the west coast of (Eyre Peninsula) Peninsula, south of South Australia, about 698km by car from Adelaide, the capital of South Australia, and 293km from (Port Lincoln), Port Lincoln, with a permanent population of about 1600. In 1970, The film "Bluefin" was shot here, and the town was much better known. Streaky Bay's name came from the seaweed Flinders saw in the bay, which is still visible in the low tide. Seagrass attracts marine life, and big fish eat small fish, making it a first-class fishing site. In addition, it has excellent cliffs near the coast.
