Introduction

Pemberton is a small town in the southwest coast of Western Australia, about 320km by car from Perth, the capital of Western Australia, and about 125km from the southwestern corner of Australia's town of Augusta (Augusta). Pemberton has been settled by European colonists since 1861 and became a town in 1921. From the 1980s tourism industry began to rise in Pemberton.
