Jabiru is located in the north-east of Kakadou National Park, north-east of the Northern Territory's dual cultural and natural heritage, about 250km by car from Darwin, the capital of the Northern Territory, with a permanent population of about 1000 people and services such as supermarkets, restaurants, accommodation, banking and so on. It is the main town of Kakadu National Park, where most of its accommodations are located, and the National Park's tourist center.
The famous Kakadu crocodile Hôtel Beau Séjour (Mercure Kakadu Crocodile Hotel) is one of the best hotels in Kakadu National Park, featuring a large crocodile in the lobby and restaurant in the crocodile head, full of guest rooms and belly swimming pools and gardens. Very distinctive.
