A woman on Facebook revealed how a $15 Kmart electronic scale was explosion as fragments of glass splashed off her bathroom floor.
Louise (alias) po her experience on the Kmart Mums Australia Facebook page. She says she just "gently pushed" the product and then it exploded to pieces.
She posted a picture of the glass fragments and wrote, "the glass is scattered all over the place."
"when I cleaned up, the glass broke into smaller pieces. I already told Kmart. that. "
Louise, from Western Australia, told news.com.au, she had to pick up the glass fragments with her hand, but fortunately she was unhurt.
"I didn`t cut myself," she said. "my husband and I picked it up with my hand and vacuumed it twice."
"the broken glass is scattered far away, and must be sharp. Thankfully, my son did not approach. I know tempered glass is temperature sensitive (they told me on the phone), but if it is so sensitive, it should be recalled. The temperature in the bathroom fluctuated so much that we were really scared. "
Her post received more than 200 likes an hour after it was uploaded, and other users shared a similar experience with the product.
"the same thing happened to me, and then you saw the broken glass crack," one user wrote.
The other man said, "I`ve met it, too." Fortunately, my child was not in the bathroom. "
