据澳洲新闻网报道，根据最新发布的QS世界大学专业排名（QS World University Rankings by Subject），护理学成为澳洲大学的顶尖优势学科，有9所院校的护理学专业跻身世界50强。其中，悉尼科技大学（UTS）的护理课程被评为澳洲最佳，名列世界第7。
此外，在莫纳什大学（Monash University）、科廷科技大学（Curtin University）、悉尼大学（University of Sydney），澳洲还分别拥有世界第二的药剂学与药理学、矿产工程学、体育相关学科。
在针对48个科目的调查中，唯一仅有古典文学与古代史这一门专业，没有一所澳洲大学打进50强。
QS世界大学专业排名是通过调查访问学者和雇主、以及研究被引用量，评选出特定领域的顶尖学校。

According to the list, the university of Queensland (University of Queensland) is the most comprehensive university, covering 46 disciplines, the school`s 44 disciplines on the list. This was followed by (University of Melbourne) (at the University of Sydney and Melbourne (43 subjects) and Monash University (42 subjects).
Overall, Australia 34 universities and disciplines on the list a total of 654.
Australia`s 141 major rankings have fallen from last year, but 185 have risen, improving overall. The Australian National University (Australian National University) and the University of Melbourne (Melbourne) each have four majors in the world`s top 10, followed by the University of Sydney and the University of New South Wales (University of NSW),) with two majors in the world`s top 10. Curtin University, Monash University, (University of Western Australia), University of Western Australia, Sydney University of Science and Technology have a major in the top 10.

Globally, American universities as a whole have retreated, but Harvard`s (Harvard University) still has a clear advantage, with 14 disciplines taking the lead, followed by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) in 12. In addition, only Oxford University (University of Oxford) has multiple disciplines (two or more) ranked first in the world.
Singapore has been the most successful in Asia, with 12 majors in the world`s top 10. China has 807 disciplines of 104 universities on the list, including 74 in mainland China, nine in Hong Kong, 19 in Taiwan and two in Macao, China. Mainland China has 24 disciplines in the world`s top 20, with 88 of 17 universities in the world`s top 50, and 29 universities in 181 of the world`s top 100. Tsinghua University and Peking University each have 10 majors in the world`s top 20.
