After receiving more than 600 complaints against online retail sites Android Enjoyed and Camera Sky, (NSW Fair Trading) eventually fined the company and its directors more than A $3 million, the Daily Telegraph reported.

Digital Marketing and Solutions, an online electronics retailer, and its Chinese director, Wang Yuanhe (Yuen Ho Wong, were fined A $3.15 million. The company operates on the Android Enjoyed and Camera Sky websites.

The new state high court ruled that the retailer and its director, Wang Yuanhe, had repeatedly breached the Australian Consumer Act (NSW) and sentenced the company to A $2.25 million and A $ nine hundred thousand fines, respectively.

Between January 2017 and July 2018, the Fair Trading Office received 637 complaints from consumers about its shopping on Android Enjoyed and Camera Sky, said Weber (Rose Webb), a new state fair trading commissioner.

"the complaints received indicate that, Android Enjoyed and Camera Sky have repeatedly failed to supply mobile phones, cameras and camera accessories within the right time, or have not supplied them at all times. The company has also failed to provide repairs to defective products or to provide refunds in due course. " Weber said.

"Android Enjoyed has appeared 17 times on the NSW Fair Trading Department complaint register, first listed in July 2016, and was registered for the eighth consecutive month between November 2017 and June 2018."

The Fair Trading Office found that the company also made false or misleading statements to customers claiming that their online purchases were available and that they would supply them within the prescribed time limit. In many cases, however, the goods were out of stock and the company was unable to deliver as promised.

Sydney resident Fernandez (Steven Fernandez) bought a phone online in 2017 and found the screen unresponsive in a few weeks, especially when texting, according to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.

He telephoned or e-mailed the company several times, hoping to get a full refund, but it was like a muddy cow. It was not until he complained to the New State Fair Trading Department that the company agreed to provide him with maintenance services, and he also had to buy a new cell phone.

Fernandez said the company should provide replacement or refund from the start. He also said the deal "looks good at first sight, because the phone is cheap and exactly what I need, but it turned out to be bad, paying A $300 for a waste."

"the court not only imposed a fine of more than A $3 million, but also removed Wang Yuanhe`s director and legal personality within two years," Anderson (Kevin Anderson), director of (Better Regulation and Innovation), the agency for sound management and innovation, also said.
