West Australian Police Commissioner Dawson (Chris Dawson) said: "it is not yet possible to determine the exact cause of death of the seven victims, but all of them have gunshot wounds. The police have found two guns at the scene of the crime. "

Several police professional investigation teams in Perth, including homicide investigation team (Homicide Squad) and forensic crime scene investigation team (Forensic Crime Scene Unit), have been on their way to the crime scene.

Police initially concluded that all seven of the deceased were residents of the premises. Dawson did not disclose the identity of the victim, only that the police are looking for the nearest blood relatives.

Dawson said he was reluctant to speculate about the motive for the shooting, but the police did not believe public safety was a threat.

Dawson described it as a "tragic tragedy" and could only be described as "terrible." This devastating tragedy will undoubtedly have a lasting impact on families, communities and police officers in southwest Western Australia. Police religious advisers have arrived at the scene to provide support to emergency workers who have been hit on the scene.
