The future of a 50 million Australian dollar rink in the north remains unclear, and the state goverment has no clear idea whether it will continue to inject money into the rink to sustain it.

The future of a 50 million Australian dollar rink in the north remains unclear, and the state goverment has no clear idea whether it will continue to inject money into the rink to sustain it.

Ice Rinks Adelaide director Stephen Campbell has now decided to postpone the opening date of Playford Arena in an effort to secure funding from the state`s goverment.

Mr. Campbell, who made a request for a loan like the state goverment, said the loan amount required accounted for only a small portion of the total operating expenses., Playford Arena would be built around the corner of Main North Road and Phili running Highway.

But until now, the state goverment did not have a clear answer.

"We are still waiting for information," Mr. Campbell said. "We hope the state goverment will get back to us as soon as possible."

"when we reach an agreement with the state goverment, we can start work by the end of this year, and we hope to start as soon as possible."

, Playford Arena is scheduled to open in March 2018, but construction has been delayed for more than three months due to funding constraints.

Mr Campbell did not pay for the exact amount of the loan, saying only that the amount was a fraction of the total operating costs and would be paid off within 10 years. He said the rest of the fees would be covered by investors and bank loans.

Jacqui Triggs, the president of Recreational Ice Sports Association of SA, called on the state goverment to lend money to the project. "if goverment wants to support ice sports vigorously, it needs to build more venues," Ms. Triggs said.

"if there were no stadiums, ice sports would not be popular at all, because no one had the chance to participate in ice sports."

"it`s like Australia`s goverment rules that there can be only one ice rink per state, so there won`t be any movement on ice."

If the state goverment agrees in principle to a capital injection like a venue, the Development Assessment Commission will evaluate the project.

The venue will have two Olympic-standard rink, one of which can be converted into a music hall at any time, and will be equipped with rock climbing facilities and restaurants.

Two ice hockey teams will use the venue to play.

During the construction period, 250 jobs will be created and 70 jobs will be created upon completion.

Playford Mayor Glenn Docherty says the project has been delayed for a long time and that building the venue will help the community develop in the future.
