The Federal and New State government today announced that it will allocate $1 billion to upgrade roads in the Greater Sydney area, help shorten the time for workers to drive and commute by bus, improve traffic safety to reduce heavy car accident casualties, create jobs and stimulate new state economic.

Among the federal and new state projects announced Monday by Prime Minister Morrison (Scott Morrison) to improve road infrastructure in the Greater Sydney $240 million was allocated to improve 11 road congestion hotspots in Sydney ,$380 million to improve roads under the jurisdiction of city halls and $398 million to improve road safety in the Sydney countryside.

The federal government's allocation comes from the recently announced $1.5 billion in priority project funding, while the new state government's allocation comes from the $3 billion accelerated project fund (Project Acceleration Fund).
