Another Ilukanch jellyfish accident in (Fraser Island), Fraser Island (Photo No. 7)
An Australian boy was rushed to hospital on Wednesday by a rescue helicopter after a suspected stinging wound by a highly toxic jellyfish in the Queensland resort of Fraser. This is the third local jellyfish-related accident this week.
A young boy was stung by a poisonous jellyfish while swimming on the west coast of Fraser Island around 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Radio 7 reported.
The primary-school boy was in stable condition and was taken by a rescue helicopter to (Hervey Bay Hospital), the Bay Hospital, for further treatment.
(RACQ LifeFlight Rescue), the Royal Queensland Auto Association helicopter rescue group, urged vacationers to be extra careful when swimming on Queensland Beach. If you are unfortunately stung by jellyfish, apply vinegar to the affected area and gently remove the tentacles.
