Berry giklian also apologised for the confusion caused by his "intimate personal relationship" with marquee, but repeatedly stressed that he was unaware of any wrongdoing.

But it remains to be seen whether mr maguire himself admitted some of his misconduct in the icac today, including collecting money to obtain a visa for chinese citizen.

Amid mounting speculation about mr berridge's fate, mr morrison, the liberal prime minister, once again publicly backed mr berridge's position.
