A Chinese tourist was caught up in the sea earlier while taking a selfie on a cliff southeast of (Bali), Bali, the Daily Mail reported. An Australian man, then 19, risked his life to save himself.
A few days ago, Davison (Jake Davison) from Perth shared a video of the hero`s rescue at the "Devil's Tears" scenic spot in the Bali resort of (Nusa Lembongan), Lanmeng Island, to the Facebook (fb) platform.
Davidson jumped into the water at the time of the accident and swam 50 meters to the drowning Chinese tourist. In an interview with 9, he said: ""When I came into contact with him, he had climbed above me and the tool and pressed me under the water."
The video, filmed in March last year, shows Davison trying to pull the Chinese tourist up a cliff in the water. Then someone threw a rope at Davison. He managed to drag the drowning man to safety under dangerous surfing conditions.
"the waves really hit the reef, and there was really no safe way out," he said. "there was a moment I was wondering. I didn`t know if I could get ashore, let alone save this man."
Mr. Davidson said the drowning man was exhausted and he constantly encouraged the person to ensure that two of them were landed. The rescue operation took a total of 25 minutes.
It is reported that the man Davison rescued is one of three people who fell into the water. In addition to the tourist`s rescue, a woman was also rescued, but another man drowned.
The 21-year-old advised tourists not to risk the perfect selfie.
