When Robert, an 18-year-old living next door, was at home, when he saw a fire in his neighbor`s house, he immediately thought, what if Grandma Pamela Wilds, 63, lived alone in the house?
In spite of the danger of the fire, he jumped into the neighbor`s fence without saying a word, and then rushed into the house in the fire.
At that time, two other neighbors, Reg Hollebone and Nick Saunders, also tried to save lives in the fire, but because the smoke inside the house was too heavy, they stayed for a few minutes before they had to hurry out and put out a fire with a hose outside.
Just then, brave Robert rushed in through the back door. Struggling with the fire and smoke, he found Grandma Pamela in his bedroom.
But because of the fire, the two of them couldn`t get out at all, but the firemen arrived in time and rescued the two of them.
According to neighbors at the scene, Robert was seriously injured and his mouth was full of black smoke, but the first thing he asked was, "how`s Pamela doing?"
Robert was rushed to a nearby hospital because he was burned by fire and inhaled a large amount of smoke. Although his condition has stabilized, he is still in serious condition.
Pamela was also taken to the hospital and is currently being treated.
