Paramedics are rescuing injured truck drivers

Before 12:30 on Friday afternoon, emergency workers arrived at the Lighthorse overpass in Eastern Creek, where four trucks and four cars were found.

In the south lane of the M7, paramedics managed to rescue the 32-year-old driver after nearly an hour in the truck cab.

The man, who was injured in both the chest and upper limbs, was taken with two other patients to Westmead Hospital, where he is in critical condition but is now stable.

It is understood that one 20-year-old female driver suffered facial and abdominal injuries, while the other suffered minor injuries.

Two other drivers suffered minor injuries, but they have gone to Nepean Hospital.

After the accident, all drivers in the southbound lane were asked to avoid motorway M7.

At present, all southbound lanes on the highway have now been reopened.

The traffic on the highway at the scene of the accident was overcrowded, and six kilometers had already been slow.
