For the first time in 105 years, Australian bank note-printing workers went on strike because of salary problems!
(Note Print Australia), an Australian note-printing company founded more than a hundred years ago, will go on strike for 24 hours. The rumor was confirmed Monday morning on Melbourne`s radio station 3AW. Mike Bull, from the Australian Manufacturers` Association, told Radio that the industry was vital to all of us.
"there will be a 24-hour strike on Friday," Mr. Bull said. We will start with this strike and then decide on the next step. " The workers will start on Wednesday and the strike will end on Friday. A series of new Australian banknotes and an increasing number of international guests have kept the industry in short supply.
"We look forward to negotiating an agreement, but the company won`t work with us," Mr. Bull said.
