Of the 17 people in death, 13 occurred in live a retired life Hospital. South Australia`s chief medical commissioner, Professor Paddy Phillips (Paddy Phillips), said 53 flu outbreaks had occurred in live a retired life since this year.

As of Saturday, there were 12339 flu cases in South Australia, compared with 1348 in the same period in 2018, Mr. Phillips said.

"We`ve never seen such a number of flu cases at this time in previous years," Mr. Phillips said.

Eight doctors and members of the Australian Immunization alliance (Immunisation Coalition) held an emergency meeting on Friday. Luo De Pierce (Rod Pearce), a member of the alliance, told Australian Broadcasting Corporation Radio Adelaide (ABC Radio Adelaide), The doctors were "worried about the current situation".

Flu cases soared earlier in the quarter, with South Australia government distributing free vaccine ahead of schedule to eligible people over 65 and under the age of five.

Government in South Australia has distributed more than 450000 vaccine, and Professor Phillips said that although a medical center reported temporary use of vaccine in April, there is no shortage of vaccine.
