A man was assassinated in KFC on the East side of Sydney, Bondi Juction, while another man was treated in hospital.
Just after 8 p. M. Saturday night, police received a report that a man had been stabbed several times.
Police were told that two men, one in his fifties and another in his 30s, had a quarrel at a fast-food restaurant. Both men were stabbed.
Eastern District Police officers helped new state ambulance workers carry out cardiopulmonary resuscitation on an elderly man, but the man died on the spot.
Both men were stabbed and it was not known if they knew each other.
One man died and another man was taken to St Vicent Hospital for police control.
The young man was arrested and taken to St Vincent's Hospital. His condition is still unknown.
The investigation is in progress. The Eastern District Police will work with the state criminal investigation department to investigate the case.
