New state police recently arrest a Sydney man who stole hundreds of boxes of groceries from supermarkets across Sydney and then sold them in his store.
Police raided a grocery store in (Banksia), Banksia, with a warrant at 12:00 yesterday, following an investigation into the mass theft of food at several retail outlets in Sydney, Radio 9 reported.
Police seized 123 boxes of red bull functional drinks, 113 cases of Nestl é coffee (Nescafe), 162 cases of canned tuna and 32 cases of mocona coffee (Moccona), 100 cases of chocolate and other items of various brands.
Police then took a 48-year-old resident of Kimag (Kyeemagh) back to St. George`s police station, (St George Police station), and charged the man with a man from Clemton Park, (Clemton Park), Miranda, (Miranda), Elwood, (Earlwood),. Big supermarkets in Ashfield (Ashfield) and Rhodes (Rhodes) stole the items.
He has been charged with 7 counts of burglary and 7 counts of receiving or handling stolen goods. The court refused the man`s bail request. He had appeared in the (Sutherland Local Court) Hall of the Shutaland District Court on the 21st.
