With the cost of living in Australia soaring, it is no wonder that many people are worried about money.

While the common problem is stress, economic problems can also extend to the bedroom, affecting couples` sex lives, according to a new Raiz Investment Limited survey.

The study, which surveyed 1000 respondents on financial stress, found that nearly 50 percent of women felt financial stress.

Research shows that as many as 30% of women are more likely than men to give up their normal sex life in order to secure financial security.

The women involved in the survey say economic pressure has had a number of effects on them.

As many as 65 percent said they had sleepless nights, 64 percent said they had experienced depression, and 45 percent said they had been ill.

By contrast, only 28% of men had a similar degree of financial stress.

The results of the Australian survey also highlight men`s attitudes to economic stress and sex.

Nearly 1/3 of the men surveyed tended to think that economic stress had a negative impact on their sex lives, according to the survey.

Lucas (George Lucas), managing director of Raiz investment, said it was not surprising that financial pressures in daily life put a different burden on men and women.

`We want people to take positive steps to manage their personal finances,`he said. `for example, using app should cheer people up.

"as financial confidence grows, we want to see less negative effects on people`s well-being," he said.
