One Chinese-American man in Brisbane was charged with a long neighborhood dispute court. He has now was acciused ordinary assault on a female neighbor and serious assault on two police officers reported to be present.

Zhao Yu, a 28-year-old mason, Zhao Yu, to the Dutch Park Magistrates' Court today. court heard that he had never been in trouble before settling down on Jackson Street (Jackson St) with his wife and newborn son. Their new home is adjacent to the house Committee (Housing Commission) for a set of leased properties.

The Zhao family tried to negotiate late night noise with their neighbors, but were coaxed away.

court also heard that they were subjected to racial abuse by Afro-Australian tenants next door every time they acted boldly.

On the night of November 14 last year, things went out of hand.

Zhao Yu's lawer Woodford (Michael Woodford) said a friend of Zhao Yu's wife drove to the street to pick her up and parked outside the rental house of the house Committee.

Mr. Woodford said his wife went to a friend's car, spoke to the driver, and then turned back home to see if the door was locked. Then her neighbor rushed out and knocked her down.

CCTV footage on the court showed the two women both falling down the crowded street. After Zhao's wife went home, she called Zhao Yu.

Mr. Woodford said he was furious and called the police when he saw CCTV footage and his wife's cuts and bruises.

He also argued to court that Zhao's wife, who had just given birth to a child for three months, was still breast-feeding, which could inspire Zhao Yu's stronger desire to protect.

The woman then saw Zhao Yu standing on the sidewalk and began to laugh at him.

court heard that Zhao Yu was enraged and punched the woman. Police then let her go, causing her head to hit the ground.

At the same time, police officers repeatedly tried to stop Zhao Yu, and finally handcuffed him and arrest. him

Given the low risk of re-offending and the fact that the neighbor had moved away, Mr. Woodford said, he asked court to give his client a suspended sentence.

He also requested that the record be kept, as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade had withdrawn his client's visa and his application for a bridge spouse visa was still under review.

Security judge Yang GE (Simon Young) agreed that Zhao Yu had no criminal record in Australia and China and pleaded guilty to three accusation in time.

Zhao was eventually sentenced to nine months' probation for ordinary assault on a female neighbor and a fine of $1500 for two serious attacks on police accusation without a criminal record.
