The "Luo Yixiao incident", which was raging a while ago, ended with the unfortunate death of a little girl after the crazy swipe of the screen in moments and the 180-degree reversal of the plot in one day, and now all is and is not all over. We just hope the little girl is all right in heaven.

The "Luo Yixiao incident", which was raging a while ago, ended with the unfortunate death of a little girl after the crazy swipe of the screen in moments and the 180-degree reversal of the plot in one day, and now all is and is not all over. We just hope the little girl is all right in heaven.

Today, Xiao Wei talks about this because Australia also has a smile, but the same beginning, similar plot, the Australian version of the story has a warmer ending.

The protagonist of the story is Edric Ho, a 4-year-old boy who lives in Perth.

In March 2014, Edric, only 16 months old, was diagnosed with an extremely rare brain tumor, called (Anaplastic Ependymoma)., an ependymoma.

The disease, which occurs only once a year on average throughout Western Australia, is a malignant tumor that grows very quickly. If not treated in time, the child may be at risk for his or her life.

As a result, Edric went through two major brain surgeries at a young age.

The operation went well and the doctor managed to remove a tumor of 10x8cm from his brain.

However, the success of the operation was only the first step on the road to recovery for small Edric, who had to undergo further radiotherapy after surgery.

However, the traditional radiation therapy for a baby under two years of age, the harm is too great!

Not only will there be any side effects of nausea and vomiting, but it will also have a permanent effect on his brain development, hormone secretion and nervous system, leading to deafness, stunting, language retardation, and so on. It may even cause second-degree cancer.

Doctors suggest that the best way for Edric to do so is to take innovative proton therapy, also known as proton beam therapy, which minimizes injuries and side effects.

However, although Australia`s medical technology is very advanced, there is no equipment for this treatment, small Edric must go to the United States to receive treatment.

Overseas treatment, however, costs as much as A $ two hundred thousand, a significant figure for an average Australian family.

At this point, little Edric`s parents wanted to ask goverment for help.

They submitted a request for assistance to Medical Treatment Overseas Program, a subsidiary of the Australian Ministry of Health. However, despite the harsh requirements passed by Little Edric, his application was relentlessly rejected, as approvers believed that Little Edric could have accepted alternative treatments in Australia. Other Australian patients with the same disease did not go overseas for treatment.

But little Edric`s parents feel that even if there is only a glimmer of hope, they should do their best to make their children live the same normal life as other children.

So, they remortgage their house, even ready to sell the house, plus borrowed money from friends and relatives, eventually flew to the United States with little Edric.

During treatment in the United States, Edric was very strong and brave at a young age.

Although the treatment was painful, he often smiled, which greatly comforted his parents.

Meanwhile, Edric`s mother registered an account called "Help Edric Ho" on Facebook.

The introduction to the web page reads:

"We hope to record our son Edric Ho`s fight against cancer and ask Australia`s goverment, to cover the cost of proton beam therapy in the United States."

Edric`s mother will update the baby`s treatment from time to time, and wants to encourage people with similar experiences to "don`t give up hope anyway!"

The story of small Edric also touched countless netizens, many people left messages on the Internet, expressed support for him, and many good-hearted people have been paying attention to his condition, hoping to provide help as far as they can.

Thanks to the persistence of parents and the care of millions of people, proton beam therapy finally brings the good news: little Edric`s cancer has disappeared and is gradually recovering.

The better news is, I don`t know if social media is working, and after 132 days of waiting, Australia`s goverment finally agreed to cover all the costs of Edric`s overseas treatment!

Now, 4-year-old Edric has returned to Perth`s home.

Although the treatment still has some side effects, such as hearing loss, poor language and mobility, and an MRI every month over the next few years, little Edric has a very happy life. I often dance and play with my sister.

We wish this strong optimistic little guy can recover as soon as possible, also hope this warm heart story can let all friends know: no matter what happens, as long as you do not give up, life will always bring you a surprise!
