New state`s most popular name in a decade (Photo No. 7)
New state residents may meet many people named Oliver (Olivers) and Charlotte (Charlottes) in the future. In the past 10 years, both names have topped the list of the most popular boys / girls five times.
According to new state goverment statistics, more than 600 boys in the new state were named Oliver in 2018, and another 530 girls were named Charlotte, according to Radio 7.
Oliver has topped the new state`s most popular boy name of the year since 2014, and Charlotte has reached the top five times since 2012.
Liam (Liam) and Leo (Leo) made the 2018 list of the most popular boys` names in the new state, crowding out Ethan (Ethan) and James (James).
Harper (Harper) also rose to third place from 9th in the previous year on the 2018 list of the most popular girls` names in the new state.
British royal names are still in the vanguard, with William (William) the second most popular boy in the new state, Harry (Harry) 15th and George (George) 33rd.
In addition to Charlotte, members of the royal family, including Mia (Mia) and Isla (Isla), are also on the list of the most popular girls` names in the new state.
"Prince Harry and Megan Markle (Meghan Markle) were warmly welcomed when they visited the new state last October, so the popularity of royal names is not surprising," said Spickman (Mark Speakman), attorney general of the new state.
