An adventurous man was indicted by police for jumping a parachute from a pendant arm in (Darling Harbour), the lover`s port in CBD, Sydney, but he was worth it.
Jonathan Perherin, from France, was indicted for jumping off his arm at 3 a.m. on Tuesday.
He said: "I climb up the boom and jump down. Because I like it. "
The 24-year-old man was accused of breaking into a construction site and climbing up a 250-meter-high boom.
"this is a beautiful place," he said. There are many lights at night. There is water. It`s really beautiful. "
It took Perherin 40 minutes to climb the boom, but it took only 30 seconds to get down.
His parachute flew through several lanes and landed between the International Convention Center and the Fett Hotel.
Love Harbor security soon took him under control and the police arrest him.
Police Officer Michael Fitzgerald told reporters: "his equipment is wrong, but the truth is that he threat to his own safety and that of others. It is possible that he will die or kill others. "
Perherin apologized for breaking into the site but did not regret parachute jumping.
He said he would continue parachuting at low altitude but not in Australia.
He will appear in Sydney`s Tang Ning Central District Court on Oct. 17.
