According to the Daily Telegraph, a man in the capital Territory was reportedly shot with a stolen gun from a police officer yesterday in (Canberra Hospital), a hospital in Canberra, and was eventually subdued by a Taser gun.

Capital Territory police received a report on the same day that a handgun in Canberra hospital, believed to have stolen the gun from a police officer. At about 4:10, the police arrived at the emergency department of the hospital.

The 26-year-old man reportedly opened fire on the roof, hitting the sprinkler system, causing chaos. The ward was therefore asked to evacuate.

Police investigations are under way and parts of the hospital are still blocked.

Capital Territory police confirmed last night that the situation was under control and did not pose a threat to public security.

Police alleged that the man was also connected to an accident in the early hours of yesterday, so he was charged with serious traffic accident. He was under police guard after an attack on police at Canberra Hospital.

The man is also charged with attempted robbery, and police are expected to add charges in connection with the shooting. The suspect will appear in court today.
