A 96-year-old woman in sydney accidentally broke his leg and waited for an ambulance at the curb for an hour.

Matthew (Dell Mathews), an elderly (Avalon) in Avalon, Sydney, was accidentally injured on July 12, the Daily Telegraph reported. The family said she was trembling and in terrible pain. Matheus then had to undergo surgery to reconnect the broken tibia.

James (Lauren James), Mathews` granddaughter, said the one-and-a-half hour wait was intolerable given that there was an ambulance depot three minutes away from the (Pittwater Palms) at Peter Watt Palm live a retired life, where the accident occurred.

"how could this happen in Sydney? we don`t live in the country," James said. "We`re in the city, there`s an ambulance depot on the other side of the road. I`m sorry to see her suffer."

Mathews was not allowed to use any painkillers while waiting for the ambulance to arrive. However, the staff of Peter Watt Palm live a retired life House and the family of Matheus were with her.

(NSW Ambulance) speaker, the New State Emergency Service, said it received reports of a woman falling and injuring her knee at 11:06 on the same day, when the incident level was handled only by an ambulance. At 12:06, according to updated information on the patient`s condition, the incident level was raised to priority and an ambulance was required for emergency deployment. The paramedics arrived at the scene at 12:32.
