According to the Guardian, the United Nations Human Rights Commission said that goverment, Australia, was responsible for the immediate closure of the detention centres in (Manus Island), Manus Island, and (Nauru), Nauru, in offshore detention centres. And relocate these refugees and asylum-seekers to Australia or other safer countries.

Since the centre was closed on October 31, the refugees have been cut off from basic supplies and living without water, electricity or food. More than 600 people remain in detention on Manus Island and are deadlocked with the local goverment. The refugees refused to leave and refused to move to several other localities in goverment, claiming insecurity in their communities and frequent attacks and thefts.

Recently, the United Nations Commission on Human Rights, through a critical report, expressed concern about the situation of refugees in offshore treatment centres in Manus and Nauru, saying that "the provision of mental health services in detention centres is inadequate; there are serious security concerns; There are frequent attacks on, sexual abuse, self-harm and suspicious deaths, and asylum seekers are reluctant to return to their countries of origin despite all risks and harsh conditions ".

The Guardian has reported that encouraging refugees and asylum-seekers to return to countries of origin that may be at risk violates Australia`s repatriation regulations. The Human Rights Committee criticized Australia for immediate closure of offshore detention centres and "effective control". "Australia shall take all necessary measures to protect the rights of refugees and asylum seekers. Make sure they are transferred to Australia or resettled to other safer countries. "

The Human Rights Commission noted that, in some cases, the indefinite detention of asylum-seekers in Australia was illegal. Australia should comply with international law, not the law it wishes to comply with.

It also denounced Australia`s unequal treatment of same-sex marriage as "marginalizing and insulting same-sex marriage."
