Thousands of high school graduates have arrived at Gold Coast, `s annual graduation week carnival.
On the first night, 13188 teenagers attended the annual year-end event, and 22,000 graduates are expected to come to the resort this week to celebrate their graduation.
Kunzhou police seized illegal drugs and confirmed that six people were arrested at night for possession of drugs. Rescue workers in Kunzhou also confirmed that some teenagers were treated for drunkenness.
"it was a great night," said (Mark Raeburn), chairman of the Gold Coast Graduate Advisory Group. "it was a great night when the storm hit here at about 05:30, but it made everything even more fun and we had to adjust our plans a little bit."
"We have 13188 students who get their wristbands and are officially part of the graduates, and we have a very good logistical response," he said.
Rayburn also said his main area of concern is the provision of a security response. "We expect, and we know, when there are so many children, some people will have problems, and there will be things going on among them," he said.

On the beach of View Pacific Holiday Apartments (Surfers Paradise), an exclusive 2.2km-long venue has been surrounded by a two-stage entertainment program that allows only graduates to show their student ID cards.

This year, the Red Frog volunteers are on their way to graduation week celebrations, as usual, to help the graduates. The organization has a mobile app that children can use to ask for help.
Graduates can use the app to have a Red Frog volunteer take them home from a nightclub.
