A man is accused of attempting to arrest a young girl in Sydney`s Chinatown Paddy`s Markets kidnap. The man allegedly tried to reach two other children earlier.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the 41-year-old man was seen staring at a young boy at Paddy Market in (Haymarket), Jubilee, on Sunday afternoon, the police said. He then approached another 18-month-old girl whose parents noticed the anomaly and took her daughter away.
The man was then seen taking a 4, 5-year-old girl towards Jubilee Street (Hay Street), outside Paddy Market, and was arrested after eyewitnesses intervened.
He was later charged with offending sex and breach of parole conditions and appeared before the Central District Court on Monday. The police are appealing to the parents of the abducted girl to show up to assist the police in their investigation.
