Sydney Chinese woman Yu Qi (Qi Yu) disappeared for days, the case has made a breakthrough. Her 19-year-old male roommate, Dong Shuo (Shuo Dong, was charged with murder and was remanded into custody today. But the police have not found Yu Qi`s body.

According to media reports, Dong Shuo was arrested at Kent police station on Tuesday and charged with murder. Dong Shuo, who appeared in (Burwood Local Court) at Baohuo District Court on Wednesday, did not appear in court himself, while Magistrate (Mark Richardson) formally refused to bail Dong Shuo.
Dong Shuo is believed not to assist the police in the search for Yu Qi`s body, but police are confident of the whereabouts of the body.
Dong Shuo`s lawyer, Guan Maco (Matt Kwan, told court that Dong had not yet agreed to prosecutors` applications for scientific authentication, including collecting DNA evidence. He will appear again on July 9th. Police confirmed to Sydney Morning Herald that Dong Shuo was one of Yu Qi`s two roommates.
