According to Australian News Network, this morning, a light plane crash occurred in the far west of Xinzhou. A man and a woman on board were seriously injured, but fortunately there was no danger of their lives.
It is reported that around 08:30 on Monday morning, emergency service personnel received a report of a light plane crash and rushed to the site of the incident, Meningdi (Menindee) Tando Lake (Tandou Road).
A 45-year-old man and woman were injured and were taken to hospital after being treated at the scene. The two men were seriously injured, but they were in stable condition.
At present, the police are investigating the incident. The Australian Traffic Safety Authority, (Australian Transport Safety Bureau), has also been informed of the matter.
A day earlier, a man was killed in a rotary-wing crash near Morri (Moree).
It is reported that at about 01:30 on Sunday, emergency service personnel received reports of an accident and rushed to a property in (Mount Jerrybang Road) on Mount Morribata Road.
Police also arrived and found the body of a 50-year-old man. There was no one else on board.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the rotary-wing aircraft hit a combine at the property.
At present, the relevant agencies are also investigating the accident.
