According to Radio 7, a man in Victoria tied a rope to his pig and walked the pig in a public place. The local parliament warned men that they would face huge fines if they did not stop doing so.

It is reported that last week, resident Evans (Matthew Evans) received a letter from (City of Wangaratta) parliament in Wangarata. According to the letter, Evans walking pigs in parliament jurisdiction, including on the streets near the Evans home, violated parliament rules.

The letter states: "No one shall interfere with other land or road users on the land or road of parliament, or commit any act against others."

Worried Evans posted a parliament letter on fb, photo, asking netizens for advice on other pig walking sites.

Many netizens supported Evans and his pig Glente (Grunt).

One netizen said he often ran into Glenn. It was not a dangerous pig. On the contrary, it brought a lot of fun to the netizen in public.

Speaker of the local parliament said it had received several complaints, including Glente stealing food from the children. "parliament must give priority to the safety of the community," the speaker said.

The speaker also denies that parliament will euthanize Glenn. Instead, parliament hopes not to hurt animals.
