South Australia has set up (Royal Adelaide Hospital), the former Royal Adelaide Hospital, as the country`s new space agency, and promised to set up the agency within six months, according to ABC.

Australian Prime Minister Steven Marshall met in Adelaide on Friday with the head of the newly created Australian Space Agency (Australian Space Agency), Megan Clark, and described the site, formerly known as a hospital, as the best location for the new space agency.

He said the state government plans to establish an innovation and entrepreneurship center here in the hospital.

"We also believe it will be the greatest NASA center the Federal government (Commonwealth Government) has been considering," Mr. Marshall said.

"from the point of view of government in South Australia, we will make the space agency as competitive and attractive as possible."

"We have had our first meeting with Dr. Clark. There is still a lot of work to be done before we finally submit our tender. "

Dr. Clark travelled in Adelaide to determine the optimal structure of the aviation administration and to speak at the Creative Festival.

South Australia`s New Aerospace Company

New aerospace-centric companies have sprung up in South Australia, with Adelaide-based IoT nanosatellite company Myriota recently completing a round of funding worth A $19.4 million.

Earlier this year, (Fleet Space Technologies), a start-up aviation fleet technology company, opened a mission control center in the western suburbs of Adelaide.

Aviation Fleet Technologies plans to use 100 satellites to connect new technologies in industries such as agriculture and logistics.

The first satellite will be launched this year.

Last year, Matthew Tetlow, an engineer at (University of Adelaide) at the University of Adelaide and an aviation fleet technology executive, teamed up with students to build a nanosatellite. The satellite, as part of an international research project, has been launched into space.

Technology Accelerator Adelaide Technology Star (Technology accelerator Techstars Adelaide) focuses on fostering and developing aviation and defense start-ups. Its second round of planned projects will begin in September.

Strong local competition

The federal government is committed to providing $41 million for the creation of an air service in the 2018-19 budget and announced in May that the initial $15 million is used for the kickstart investment.

Although the aviation authority will be officially operational from July 1, its final ownership will be determined after the state bid with the territory, and the final decision is expected to be made by the end of the year.

South Australia has been helped by Andy Thomas, a former NASA astronaut, to update the certificate of the National Aerospace Company.

Dr Thormas points to Adelaide`s traditions, educational background, resources and infrastructure.

But South Australia is facing fierce competition from other states, and government, New South Wales, is recruiting an astronaut to prove its identity-Australia`s first astronaut, Paul Scully-Power..

In May, the 73-year-old astronaut, who was chosen by the governor of New South Wales, Gladys Bersejiklian, said she would like to take advantage of the link between Paul Scully-Power and the global leader in the space industry to "Attract investors" and develop a new industry in the state.

New South Wales, home to more than 40 percent of Australia`s space companies and 1/3 jobs in Australia`s space industry, is home to the Parks Telescope (Parkes telescope).

At the same time, Western Australia is trying to bid, and to highlight its advantages in its geographical location. Western Australia says it is ideal for "a space situational awareness and network that needs global coverage of space assets."

The state has a 1 billion-square-kilometre array of radio telescopes, the largest and strongest ever built.

Victoria lacked radio telescopes and astronauts, so he focused his bid on-they could attract investment from big aerospace companies, including Lockheed Martin`s (Lockheed Martin),. Thales (Thales), Boeing (Boeing) and BAE Systems (BAE Systems).
