According to the Sydney Morning Herald, two Chinese tourists drowned while swimming in (Airlie Beach Lagoon), a lagoon at Elly Beach, Kunzhou. Kunzhou police this afternoon released drowning details of the two men who were said to have noticed the accident after drowning for about six minutes.

At about 4:00 on Sunday, emergency workers arrived at a man-made lagoon at Elley Beach, a popular attraction in North Queensland. Emergency workers reported rescuing a 5-year-old child and a 30-year-old man, a spokesman for the Kunzhou ambulance service center (Queensland Ambulance Service) said. They were in critical condition and had cardiac arrest.

It is understood that both drowning are Chinese tourists, believed to be father-son relationship. Before the paramedics arrived, the two men had been dragged from the water to the beach.

Two Chinese tourists were then rushed from the man-made lagoon pool in the center of the town to (Proserpine Hospital), a hospital in Plosselpina, but failed to save their lives.

It is reported that Sunday afternoon, when the local temperature exceeded 35 ℃, the lagoon is full of swimmers.

According to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Queensland Police Inspector Steve O`Connor 39; Connell) pointed out this afternoon that surveillance cameras at the swimming pool showed that the Chinese man, who could not swim, took his son step by step from the shallow water of the pool to the deep water, and eventually there was an accident.

O`Connor said that the man, carrying his five-year-old son, moved little by little to the deep water. After drowning, he tried to call for help, but the people around him did not notice the accident. "about six minutes after they sank under the water," Mr. O`Connor said. Before anyone noticed it. "

It is reported that a swimmer noticed the Chinese man at the bottom of the pool and called for help, and the lifeguards rescued them ashore. The man`s wife was also in the pool, and his son was rescued from shore a few minutes later.

"the mother briefly left the lagoon for drinks after the father and son were in the water," O`Connor said. When she came back, the tragedy took place in front of her. "

The mother is said to be "devastated" and has been assisted by the Chinese consulate.

It is reported that the pool will remain closed today, but will be re-opened tomorrow.
