A teenager fell from an 8-meter-high cliff in Bondi, Sydney, late on the 20th, triggering a massive rescue operation.
At about 10:50 last night, emergency services reported that an 18-year-old had fallen below the rock platform at (Ben Buckler Reserve), (North Bondi Beach) Bemballe Reserve, North Bondi Beach, the Australian News Network reported.
A large-scale rescue operation was launched involving police rescue teams (Police Rescue Squad), PolAir police air rescue teams and new state ambulance convoy (NSW Ambulance) helicopter rescue teams.

After injuries to the head and back of the young man, paramedics fastened him to a stretcher before using a helicopter to lift him to safety. The young man was later taken by a rescue helicopter to St. George`s Hospital (St George Hospital) where he was seriously injured but stable.
Police investigations revealed that the young man was heading to the rock platform, inadvertently sliding down a cliff.
