Australia`s last artificially raised flamingo, who is in its 60s, was euthanized for health problems, the Australian News Network reported.

The Chilean flamingo, known as Chile`s (Chile), is 60 years old and raised by Adelaide Zoo (Adelaide Zoo).

In recent months, the flamingo has developed arthritis and other age-related health problems. Despite the treatment, its condition deteriorated last week.

On Friday afternoon, the zoo decided to euthanize the flamingo.

Ainslie (Phil Ainsley), from the zoo, said the zoo`s extended family would miss Chile, and South Australia and other residents who had visited it from far and near would miss it.

It is reported that the majority of flamingos live in South America, currently living in the wild flamingos are estimated to be three hundred thousand.
