A number of key universities in Sydney ranked bottom in the student satisfaction survey, and smaller private universities maintained a leading advantage over public universities.

According to the annual Student experience Survey released by the Federal Ministry of Education on Wednesday, according to the Sydney Morning Herald, the (University of NSW), of the University of New South Wales is (Sydney University), Sydney University. (University of Technology Sydney) of Sydney University of Science and Technology and (Macquarie University) of Macquarie University are both ranked in the bottom 10 of the list.

This year, Australia`s Federal Ministry of Education will release for the first time a complete ranking of students` satisfaction with university teaching, support services and resources.

Education Secretary Birmingham (Simon Birmingham) said it would increase transparency in student sentiment. In 2020, when Tan Bao (Malcolm Turnbull) government lifted the policy of freezing funds of colleges and universities, it will decide the funds of universities according to the result of student satisfaction.

Student satisfaction at Australia`s oldest university, Sydney, fell to 74.9 percent, below the national average of 78.5 percent.

Student satisfaction at the University of New South Visa fell to 73.7 percent, down from 76.0 percent last year. Sydney University of Science and Technology rose from last year`s bottom 1 to the bottom 7 this year.

Australia`s leading undergraduate satisfaction groups include Melbourne seminary (University of Divinity), Notre Dame University (University of Notre Dame), and Bond University (Bond University), student satisfaction, both more than 90 percent.

This year`s survey results are consistent with previous years, Australia`s eight-school alliance (Group of Eight) student satisfaction is still low. The reason may be that students in the Big eight typically have higher expectations, as students in prestigious schools are more likely to come from families with rich private schools and university education.

Thomson (Vicki Thomson), chief executive of the Australian Union of eight Schools, said he favoured greater transparency in student satisfaction, but warned high school graduates not to rely entirely on survey data. 80% of the chief executives of Australian companies, 83% of Australian ambassadors and high commissioners, and all of Australia`s Nobel laureates are eight-school union graduates.

The Annual Student experience Survey is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and conducted by (Social Research Centre), the Social Research Center of the Australian National University (ANU). The results of the survey are published on the official website of (QILT), an indicator of learning and teaching quality.
