Sydney rich brother and sister were killed today, the jury heard witness babysitter testimony.
Sydney restaurant owner Rita Cario (Rita Caleo), 39, was killed at her home in (Double Bay), Shuangwan, in August 1990 and was shot 23 times, according to the Telegraph Today. Coincidentally, Rita`s brother, Mike Tsai (Michael Chye), was shot dead 10 months before the crime, when new state police issued a reward notice.
Mark denied Rita`s husband, Mark Cario, who suspected links to the two murders. Hired killer Alaney Afu (Alani Afu) also pleaded not guilty to the murder of Rita.
The day Rita was killed, Zolaizhan woke up at 01:30, according to testimony from nanny Zolaizh (Lai Chan Chor,. When she slept in the room with Rita`s daughters, she woke up to hear Rita shouting. Zoellatron was so frightened that he dared not get up to look at it until he heard the door shut outside. Zoellaim then found Rita lying on the floor in the bathroom, motionless and without breathing. Zolaizhan said Rita and Mark looked very much in love, but they often quarreled a month before the crime.
Prosecutors said the two quarrelled suspected that Mark had cheated on Mark, who hired Afghanistan to kill Rita, and demanded that the murder be disguised as a burglary. Police extracted two blood types in the bathroom, A Fu`s girlfriend also testified that A Fu was found injured in the left hand.
In addition, because of his reluctance to complete a deal with Mike`s Bathurst (Blakehurst) property, Mark arranged for Mike`s murder. Mark made the highest offer at Mike`s Bathurst property auction, but stopped paying the deposit after discovering an application for suspension of proceedings in the purchase and sale agreement. Mike refused to terminate the transaction and threatened to bring a lawsuit. Mike also told friends that Mark threatened to kill him.
The trial continued.
