The Queensland Gold Coast Film World roller coaster has broken down and 20 people have been safely rescued after being trapped.

The tourists were trapped on the Arkham Asylum roller coaster for an hour and 40 minutes before being rescued by climbing firefighters.

Firefighters used cranes to save four people, while the rest of the tourists went down to safety through a ladder platform built by paramedics.

The Kunzhou Ambulance Group says it has received no reports of injuries.

"the park provides water. We asked them to replenish their bodies as soon as possible. They all looked red and the sun was too hot in the sun. "

"but they are all in good condition. No one needs any intervention or treatment. They`re in good spirits, too. They`re laughing. No one looks uncomfortable. "

The film world general manager said the roller coaster chain except mechanical failure, but do not know exactly what went wrong. They`ll find out if the high temperature caused the fault.

The roller coaster was closed, but the theme park was still open.

Workplace health and safety officials are investigating the incident.

The Arkham Asylum roller coaster was launched in April 2012, 32 meters high and up to 85 kilometers per hour over a distance of 765 meters.
