Australia plans to crack down on porn retaliation. Under the current proposal, offenders can be sentenced to up to seven years in prison.

Following the passage of the Senate in February, the retaliation bill against porn was submitted to the House of Representatives late Wednesday for discussion, Radio 7 reported. The amendment plans to add two new offences. Individuals who retaliate against porn face up to five years in prison, while recidivist faces up to seven years in prison.

According to the proposed regulations, individuals may face a fine of up to A $ one hundred and five thousand if they distribute private photographs of others without permission. If a social media platform or website server provider fails to take action within 48 hours of receiving a warning of porn retaliating against pictures or videos, it faces a fine of up to A $ five hundred and twenty five thousand.

The amendment will replace the bill submitted by the central coalition (Centre Alliance) to the Senate, including new criminal provisions to better adapt to existing Australian state and territory regulations.

The cyber security committee (eSafety Commissioner) will be given an additional authority to handle complaints. An earlier investigation by the cyber security committee found that close photos or videos of 1 / 5 Australian residents had been posted without their permission. (he Rong)
