(Christopher Kilgannon), the unemployed construction worker, thought he was texting a primary school girl telling her to "put on his uniform" when he met.
He did not know that the news had been sent to a policeman disguised as an 11-year-old.
Kilgannon,40, was found guilty Wednesday of conspiracy to induce children under 16 to have sex.
When he started sending a message to a girl in the new state area, he had been living at the Woolaloo Hoel and sent a series of clear text messages between 20 December 2018 and 3 June 2019.

The detective began texting with Kilgannon in May. The defendant instructed the girl "how to masturbation" and told her that their relationship must be kept secret.
At about 01:30 on June 3, Kilgannon was arrested at central Station with the cooperation of Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad and the police.
Since then, the words of the tattooed, Kilgnon, were detected.

In June, the court learned that he had asked the girls to "wear school uniforms" during the meeting and arranged for them to have "oral sex" at the same time.
When his defender told the court, he had no intention of carrying out what he had suggested in his text message.
Kilgannon appeared in (Central Local Court), the central District Court, on Wednesday, appeared through a video link and pleaded guilty to accusation more than five months after being detain.
He was served in the Downing Centre on November 22.
