Commuters face delays Monday morning after a train derailed near Minto, southwest of Sydney.
The freight train was partially off the track, leading to the closure of the T8 railway from Glenfield to Macarthur.
However, according to a new report from Radio 9, a spokesman for the Traffic Management Centre said some of the services on the T8 route were now resumed, but the authorities reminded commuters that there might still be some delays.
The authorities urged people to take advantage of the road between Sydney`s CBD and the airport and to leave early for the road and to be careful to confirm the station`s information board in order to keep track of the route.
The authorities are sending alternative buses to help the commuters.
The official Twitter account of the T8 Sydney Train posted a tweet saying: "A freight train was partially derailed in Minto, but now the train has returned to normal. But there are still delays in some services, and thank you for your patience. "
However, there was confusion Monday morning in the Wahroonga area of the M1 motorway after a two-truck crash, causing massive delays.
The accident, between Edgeworth David Avenue and Pacific Highway, caused up to 10 kilometers of traffic jams.
All lanes are being reopened in an early morning rush, but there are still serious delays.
