A man drowned in Australia`s fifth drowning tragedy in just three days at the famous waterfall attraction in Victoria on Wednesday. Authorities called on summer Australians to raise awareness of safety precautions.
At about 6 p.m. Wednesday, Victoria police arrived at Mackenzie Falls (MacKenzie Falls)., near (Stawell), Stavi, according to Radio 7.
It was understood that, after 5 p.m., a 27-year-old New Zealand-based man fell into the rock pool. A witness at the scene was in the water for rescue, but it was not enough to reach the man in the water.
Around 1 a.m. Thursday, the body of a drowning man was pulled ashore.
Five people have drowned in Australia since Monday. Taylor (Nigel Taylor), chief executive of (Life Saving Victoria), the Victoria Life Saving Society, said 30 people had drowned in Australia over the past 26 days, most of them in coastal waters.
