According to the Daily Mail, Australian people working in the pipeline construction industry are the "richest" craftsmen, according to a new report.
ServiceSeeking, a service site, analyzed fees for more than 5000 hours for each mechanic industry in 2018 and the first quarter of 2019, and came up with a quarterly list of wealthy craftsmen, (Tradie Rich List). The list reveals Australia`s most profitable craftsman industry, as well as industries where mechanic fees fell last year.
The results of the list show that pipeline construction workers charge the highest, at A $87.88 an hour, up from A $84.53 last year.
This is followed by an earthmoving contractor with an hourly charge of $87.48. Air-conditioning mechanics charge $85.80 an hour. The electrician is $80.34.
However, the report points out that only a small number of skilled workers benefit from higher fees than last year. The income of mud-mixed geotechnical workers increased 7.1%, plumbing workers increased 4%, and construction workers increased 4.8%.
The top 20 skilled trades fell 3.6 per cent year-on-year from a year-on-year basis, down from $67,94 per hour to $65.52. The biggest drop was the bricklayer, down by 12.8%. The number of tree-growing workers was 12.7 per cent. The brickwork is down by 11.2%.
In addition, the lowest-charged mechanic industry was the cleaning industry, with A $34.39 an hour, down 2 percent from the same period last year, according to the list. Gardening earns A $48.39 an hour. The painter is A $49.63.
