It is reported that at the bottom of a famous watchtower in southern Sydney, two bodies, a woman and a child, were found.
On Tuesday, a tragedy occurred at the Robertson watchtower in Mount Keira, near Wollongong. At about 01:50 in the afternoon, emergency service personnel received the report and arrived at the scene.
Speaker, a police officer in the new state, said they had received reports of concern about the safety of the two men.
The body was found under the watchtower.
Wollongong police have begun an investigation and established a crime scene.
There are a large number of emergency vehicles at the scene, but also the use of fee-paying rescue helicopters.
Emergency workers are said to be looking down the cliff for the bodies of the dead, while others are comforting worried families.
The Harry Graham Drive leading to the watchtower has been closed.
