Dong Shuo, suspect in Yu Qi's murder, pleaded guilty

On December 4, Sydney Chinese woman Yu Qi was killed in the fourth Chamber of Baowu (Burwood) District Court. Yu Qi's father appeared again in court. At 10:33, the court officially began to hear the case. The prosecution lawer handed over the evidence to judge, while the defense lawer said the suspect Dong Shuo had instructed him to plead guilty.

On Dec.4, the murder of Sydney`s Chinese woman Yu Qi in the fourth court in Burwood, the victim Yu Qi`s father again in court.

At 10:33, the court officially began to hear the case. The prosecution lawer handed over the evidence to judge, while the defense lawer said the suspect Dong Shuo had instructed him to plead guilty.

Later, the suspect Dong Shuo wearing green prison uniform, via video link to appear in court.

"this is Baoliu District Court," judge told Dong Shuo. "you are now was acciused on the evening of June 8, 2018, murder Chinese woman Yu Qi."

"your lawer said you had instructed him to plead guilty to you," judge said. "the court received evidentiary material about the case, and the lawer of the prosecution and defense found that most of the evidence was not in doubt, but the evidence about your search records on Google (Google) is currently controversial. This issue can be resolved through an agreement between the prosecution and the defense, or through the dispute process."

Before that, Dong was accused of using mobile phone search about female private part and murder sentencing.

"the case will be referred to the Sydney Supreme Court for further trial," judge said. "the next court appearance will be February 14, 2020. Dong Shuo will be provided with a Putonghua interpreter."

Judge said it had not received any applications for bail or rejected bail. After confirming that Dong Shuo had no doubt, the case ended today.

Outside the court, Yu Qi`s father said he could not disclose any details. He just wanted you to know that the next court appearance in the case would be February 14, 2020, and then leave court in a hurry accompanied by others.

On June 8, 2018, Yu Qi, 28, disappeared at Kensi (Campsie) `s residence. At 9: 00 the next morning, her roommate called the police about her disappearance.

On June 12, Dong Shuo (Shuo Dong, a male roommate of Yu Qi, was later found by police arrest and accusation murder, in Yu Qi`s residence, where a lot of blood was found in the vehicle. Some media said that Dong Shuo has not cooperated with the police investigation. Earlier court documents showed that his tenant and roommate Dong Shuo had a dispute with Yu Qi that night over shortening the lease and deposit.

On June 26 th, Yu Qi`s parents spoke for the first time at the police station, asking for help looking for their daughter. During this period, many Chinese groups spontaneously formed search and rescue teams to search according to the clues disclosed by the police.

On July 25, police used Yu Qi`s mobile phone records as a clue. In the jungle near an emergency parking spot on the Mount Kuring-gai M1 highway, the wrapped body was found and pointed out that it was Yu Qi`s body who had been missing for nearly seven weeks.

On August 2 th, the police officially confirmed that the identity of the deceased was Yu Qi. According to relevant documents, the suspect murder landlord Yu Qi between 7:30 on June 8, 2018 and 9:00 on June 9, 2018. On August 4 th, a memorial service was held at Rockwood Cemetery.
