The Border Guard said he would serve a sentence in immigration detention and be repatriated after his release.

A 21-year-old student was arrested at Perth airport after a 21-year-old suspected of having large amounts of child porn material in his cell phone.

He arrived in Perth from Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday and was intercepted at the baggage Inspection Office. Australian Border Guard staff found nine videos and six pictures of children sexually active.

The Indian man, accused of importing child porn materials, faces up to 10 years in penalties and / or a fine of up to $ five hundred and twenty five thousand.

The authorities cancelled his visitor`s visa at once.

In June, another Indian man arrived in Perth on a short-term technology graduate visa, and his mobile phone was found to contain child porn material and had been repatriated.

The 30-year-old man, who flew to Perth from Singapore, was stopped by Border Guard staff at the baggage Inspection Office, examined three of his phones and found the children`s porn material in one of them.

The phone was confiscated and his visa cancelled.
