Taxi driver rape Swimming Sleeper (Daily Mail)
A taxi driver in Adelaide, South Australia, is accused of a sleeping stranger in rape, a local swimming pool, who managed to win bail, but bail conditions forbid her from driving any more taxis.
On Sept. 27, a 60-year-old taxi driver came to Adelaide`s water sports center (Adelaide Aquatic Centre), in broad daylight to "brazenly take advantage" of a 27-year-old sleeping woman, the Daily Mail reported. The whole process was monitored and photographed, and the picture was "clear and of good quality".
Yesterday, the taxi driver involved in the court appearance, judge Smart (Simon Smart) approved his home incarceration of bail. Bail conditions are very strict, including no presence in the area around the Adelaide Aquatic Sports Center, no driving in taxis, and the need to wear electronic surveillance equipment.
Taxi drivers have been charged with having sex with people without consent, as well as charges such as obscene. For legal reasons, the media may not disclose the identity of the taxi driver. The taxi driver has not pleaded guilty, and his lawyer has hinted that he will challenge the charges.
Outside court, the taxi driver`s wife and daughter refused to answer reporters` questions.
