What`s going on?
The students who went to Mount Waverley Secondary College today were startled.
In class, the police rushed into the campus for security checks and were told to evacuate quickly.
The state police carried out a security check on the school this afternoon, said Victoria police speaker, Alex Day.
Students and teachers were evacuated to the playground in 12:15pm.
Police say we are conducting a security investigation into the campus. Although the students were later allowed to return to the campus, the police are still investigating the scene.
But the exact cause of the incident is not yet clear.
